Run Maple RUN!--An iPhone app: RunKeeper

I love jogging for years, since it's an aerobic exercise and accessible to most situation. No worry for the court or playground anymore! To check my progress specifically, I searched on the internet before and I'd like to share this amazing app with you joggers. It's called RunKeeper.

RunKeeper is an app that does a great job without the need for extra high-tech hardware or special shoes. It employs the GPS module of the iPhone to track your jogging distance, time, and pace. Then the app will automatically upload your data to the RunKeeper server, so you can view your jogging routine and history.

The app has the simplest interface I have ever seen. If you launch the app the first time, then you will be asked to enter an email address and password to create an account on the RunKeeper system, but you can choose not to share your information on the website afterwards. And now everything is settled, just go outside, press the green start button, and begin your jogging. If you want to listen to your music when running, just launch your iPod before so it will play in the background.

RunKeeper can display a graph of your time and speed in every minute, also your total distance, and you average time per ml/km will be indicated. The screen updates in real time and is really easy to read at a glance.

When you finish running, just tap the stop button and the data will be recorded on the phone. And it’s also uploaded to the RunKeeper server directly from the phone. The RunKeeper website contains several lists of your previous runs, and you’re given a map with your route displayed. It is exceptionally convenient for the app to check the accuracy via GPS. Technology!
